Why Aerate A Lawn?

Aerating a lawn is the act of mechanically punching holes into the surface of your lawn, allowing oxygen, water, and fertilizers to enter the grass root system, thus relieving summer stress and promoting new grass growth.

Aerating is usually done in mid-late September when temperatures are cooler. After a summer of high traffic on a lawn, drought stress, and heavy machinery rolling over your lawn weekly, your lawn may be in desperate need of some help. For most customers, we aerate every year, and often times overseed with a premium blend seed and lightly fertilize the lawn right after. The great thing about aerating and overseeding at the same time is that the seed falls right into the aeration holes, allowing it to sprout up much quicker. In about 2-3 weeks after we aerate and/or overseed your lawn, you will notice significant results. Your lawn will be thicker, greener, and much healthier than before.

We are now giving estimates to folks who request this service. If you have a neighbor or local friend who might be interested, wed be happy to give you both a discount on September aeration services.
